The 2027 Hyundai Palisade is a three-row SUV with room for up to eight people, standard HTRAC all-wheel drive on every trim, and a choice between a 3.5 L V6 and a 2.5 L turbo hybrid. For 2027, Hyundai Canada adds a Night Package to the Ultimate Calligraphy, giving it black wheels, black badging and darker exterior trim. The rest of the lineup carries over with five trims: Preferred Trend, XRT Pro, Luxury Hybrid, Ultimate Calligraphy and Ultimate Calligraphy Hybrid. Every Palisade has two 12.3-inch screens, wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, and a heated steering wheel. V6 models are rated to tow up to 5,000 lb (2,268 kg), and hybrid models are rated at 4,000 lb (1,814 kg). What’s new on the 2027 Hyundai Palisade?
Exterior
The Palisade keeps an upright, boxy shape with a wide front fascia and a large grille. Projector headlights with LED accents, LED daytime running lights and LED taillights come standard. The main change for 2027 is the Night Package, offered on the Ultimate Calligraphy with either the V6 or the hybrid. It trades bright trim for black: 21-inch all-black alloy wheels, black front and rear bumpers, black raised roof rails and black Hyundai badges. Paint choices for the package are Abyss Black, Creamy White and Ecotronic Grey.
The body measures 5,060 to 5,090 mm long and 1,980 mm wide, on a 2,970 mm wheelbase. Wheel size depends on the trim: 18-inch alloys with all-terrain tires on the XRT Pro, 20-inch alloys on the Preferred Trend and Luxury Hybrid, and Calligraphy-exclusive 21-inch wheels on the top trims. Ground clearance is 187 mm on most versions and 212 mm on the XRT Pro. Raised roof rails rated for 220 lb (100 kg) are standard, and the proximity-activated smart liftgate opens without a button press.
Interior
The dashboard is built around two 12.3-inch screens: a full digital instrument cluster and a touchscreen with navigation, HD Radio and SiriusXM. Seven USB-C ports are spread through the cabin, and six of them supply 100 W fast charging. Seating surfaces range from leatherette on the Preferred Trend and XRT Pro to leather on the Luxury Hybrid and Nappa leather on both Ultimate Calligraphy models. With the Night Package, the Nappa seats turn all-black and the cabin gets black accents.
The Preferred Trend and Luxury Hybrid seat eight with a second-row bench. Captain’s chairs bring that to seven and are standard on the XRT Pro and Ultimate Calligraphy, and available on the Luxury Hybrid. The second row slides forward for third-row entry, and the third row splits 60/40 with handles to help riders climb in. Third-row passengers get their own HVAC vents. Cargo space measures 540 L behind the third row, 1,310 L behind the second row and 2,455 L behind the front seats. Heated front and second-row seats are standard on every trim.

Powertrain
Three of the five trims use a 3.5 L V6 that makes 287 hp and 260 lb-ft of torque. It is paired with an 8-speed automatic transmission with SHIFTRONIC manual mode and paddle shifters. NRCan ratings for the Preferred Trend and Ultimate Calligraphy are 12.2 L/100 km city, 9.7 highway and 11.1 combined. The XRT Pro, on all-terrain tires, is rated at 12.7 L/100 km combined. Each V6 model can tow up to 5,000 lb (2,268 kg) with trailer brakes, and the XRT Pro and Ultimate Calligraphy include an integrated tow hitch. Trailer Sway Control is standard.
The Luxury Hybrid and Ultimate Calligraphy Hybrid use a 2.5 L turbocharged 4-cylinder hybrid with 329 hp and 339 lb-ft of torque, matched to a 6-speed hybrid automatic. It is rated at 8.3 L/100 km city, 7.9 highway and 8.1 combined. Hybrid towing is rated at 4,000 lb (1,814 kg), and both hybrid trims have the integrated hitch. Every Palisade uses HTRAC all-wheel drive with drive mode selection, multi-terrain control modes and auto-levelling rear suspension.
Technology
Wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto are standard across the lineup, along with BlueLink connected services and over-the-air software updates. Two features focus on the back rows: In-car intercom with Driver Talk lets the driver talk with rear passengers, and Rear Seat Quiet Mode keeps audio up front while others rest. The Preferred Trend uses an 8-speaker system, and every other trim moves up to BOSE premium audio with 14 speakers. Both Ultimate Calligraphy models add a head-up display, a built-in dual-channel dashcam and a full digital rear-view mirror. A 115-volt outlet is included on the XRT Pro and Ultimate Calligraphy trims.
All trims include 10 airbags, Forward Collision-Avoidance Assist with car, pedestrian and cyclist detection, Blind-Spot Collision Warning and Rear Cross-Traffic Collision-Avoidance Assist. Safe Exit Assist and Rear Occupant Alert are standard too. Highway Driving Assist, Lane Following Assist 2 and Adaptive Cruise Control with stop-and-go assist on longer drives. The XRT Pro, Luxury Hybrid and Ultimate Calligraphy models add Surround View Monitor and Blind View Monitor. Both Ultimate Calligraphy trims also get Highway Driving Assist II, Blind-Spot Collision-Avoidance Assist and Remote Smart Parking Assist.
